Pennsylvania. Pottstown. Bank of Pottstown. $1. 1861. (PA-565 G2a) Fully issued. No.5. Red. State seal, center. Portrait Henry Potts, right. Very Good details. Repaired tears. Hoober considered the entire issue of the bank to be Rarity 5. Haxby assigns an SENC designation to all denominations. The Bank of Pottstown became the National Bank of Pottstown and probably redeemed and cancelled the vast majority of its issued obsolete banknotes. This example may not be in the highest state of preservation, but you may not see another example for decades.
