France. Third Republic. Pair of 1933 Pattern Essai 5 Francs by Bazor. In Gold and Nickel. Capped Liberty head right, rev. Rev. LIBERTE / EGALITE/ FRATERNITE / 5 / FRANCS between wheat stalks. The gold unlisted in Mazard, the nickel Maz-2559. This is the only known set with a gold pattern specimen of the very popular Bazor design type. It is most likely to have been struck for presentation, combining an unique gold pattern specimen with a Nickel pattern type. Extremely rare. The gold PCGS SP64, the nickel PCGS SP67. Comes with an original 2 coin presentation box in galusha(2)
