Silver 5 Francs 1854 A, Paris mint, "bare head " type, weight 25 g., diameter 37 mm., ref. Gad. 734, Fr. 330. Obv. bare head left, legend NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR, underneath BOUVET F and mint mark A.; rev. imperial crowned arms on a mantel with spectrum and hand of Justice, with legend 5 - F.

Very low mintage: only 10,599.struck, making this coin a scarce piece among the Napoleon III Silver 5 Francs coinage series, especially in MS grades (the combined mintage for all years :14,145,228 struck for this type).

This SPL coin is further enhanced by a beautiful violet pink blue patina.
