An Assortment of North Eastern Railroad Shares from the 1840s and 1850s (Pennsylvania) 1886. 1000 shares. No.272. Green border and underprint. Men and coal wagons in circular frame. Issued to and signed by William K. Vanderbilt, grandson of "Commodore" Vanderbilt. VF+. Minor soiling along the top margin. Bold signature on the back, barely effected by the punch cancels. Also included are two other Vanderbilt signed pieces dated 1883 and signed on the versos by a Vanderbilt heir, and two others dated 1884 and 1885, issued to, but not signed by William H. Vanderbilt.
