Edison Portland Cement Company (New Jersey) 1899. 100 shares of common capital stock. No.69. Brown border and title. Portrait of Thomas A. Edison. Issued to Edison, and signed by him twice; once on the verso, and on the stub which is affixed to the left end panel. Among Edison's thousands of ideas and inventions was a new process for milling iron ore. This created a great deal of waste material, which Edison put to good use as a raw material for his cement company. ABNCO. IC. VF+. An excellent opportunity to obtain Edison's own shares in one of his companies. Bid accordingly. While the officer's signature's and the corporate seal have several small punch cancels, but both of the Edison signatures are bold, uncancelled, and attractive.
