Great Britain. A trio of better officer's helmet plates: Cheshire Regiment. Victorian. 4 1/3 x 5". Prince of Wales plume on burnished silver ground against black velvet, motto around, silver regimental scroll below, on wreathed and crowned, gilt eight-point star; Shropshire Light Infantry. Victorian, 4 1/3 x 5". Silver horn and gilt monogram on black velvet, motto around, silver regimental scroll below on wreathed, crowned gilt eight-point star; Uncertain early badge, possibly Georgian period. Silver lion on crown, gilt ring around, against black velvet - encased in glass, at center of a silver cross adorned with engraved thistle on top and bottom arm and rose on left and right, rays with large ball on each point in angles. All attractive and well preserved; also includes two modern Highlander badges. Ex Hammatt Collection. (5)
