Central medallion with PIUS IX in gold letters on white, ANNO MDCCCXLVIII on back, set on eight-rayed, blue enamel star, curling gold rays in angles. Maker's name on back. On ribbon. Minor abrasion to front white enamel, otherwise well-preserved, Good Very Fine.
