National Bank of Egypt, 50 piastres, 1 January 1899, serial number A/1 028419, black on red and green underprint, The Sphinx at centre, value at centre, and each corner, reverse green, value at left and right
(Pick 1a), a newly discovered example of the much scarcer Palmer signature (now only 9 known), and one of the best we have ever seen, in PCGS holder 20, very fine, with some very small edge splits and a minor ink stamp on reverse, overall very presentable and a crowing piece for any collection
