North American Phonograph Company (New Jersey) 1892. Jersey City. $1000. No.134. Red $1000. Wax cylinder phonograph. VF-EF. Not cancelled. Signed by Samuel Insull as President. Thomas Edison originally sold this company to Jesse Lippincott, who envisioned a great need for phonographs as office dictation machines. Eventually Lippencott lost control of the company and it reverted back to Edison, to whom this bond is registered. Edison relied on Samuel Insull to manage the company successfully. This high grade and attractive Edison-related bond rarely appears on the market, and should be considered seriously.
