"Thank you very much for your recent letter, which was held for my personal attention. I am sorry that it is was not possible for me to reply sooner. I certainly appreciate your writing me about the possibility of arranging some lecture engagements for me, however, I feel that I should remain in Washington during the next session of Congress as so many vital issues will be under consideration at that time." Kennedy served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1947 to 1953, and then he became a United States Senator. Very Fine condition, with some pinholes in the upper left corner.
