Isherwood, Christopher (1904-1986). English novelist. He was a friend of Truman Capote and Aldous Huxley. TLS. 8vo. Dec. 3, 1962. To "Arnold" ( W. L. Arnold Weissberger, author of "Famous Faces".) "PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIAL...we should wait, pending developments. With all due respect to Mr Stevens or any other prospective backer, neither Carter nor I feel any particular concern about a possible drop in temperature [loss of interest]. This is a property of lasting value, and we know it and they know it, and we know they know it." Signed "Christopher." Also included is a postcard to Weissberger, entirely in Isherwood's hand, from Santa Monica, CA, April 28, 1958, thanking Weissberger for pictures he sent. Signed "Christopher Isherwood."
