German States. Prussia. Reserve Line Jäger Battalion Officer's 1899 Model Shako. Black wool-covered body with side ventilators, black leather peak, topped by feldzeichen in silver wire thread, black velvet center. Prussian eagle frontplate, "FR" on breast. Brass chin scales, kokarde on right side. Some splitting and light curling of leather sweatband and light staining on inside fabric. Overall, attractive and well-preserved. A Very Fine example.
