Lucania. Poseidonia. AR Half Stater – Drachm, ca. 530-500 BC. 3.58 gms. ПOΣ (facing downward), Poseidon walking right, brandishing trident, chlamys draped over both arms, rev. Poseidon incuse, retrograde ПOΣ in relief. SNG ANS 621 var., HN Italy 1108. Rare. Old deep gray toning over very minor roughness. Broad flan, good metal. Near Extremely Fine and nice for type.
