Kings of Egypt. Arsinöe II (died 270/268 BC). AV Oktadrachm (Mnaieion). Alexandria. 27.89 gms. Struck under Ptolemy VI – VIII, ca. 170-116 BC. Head of the deified Arsinöe II right, veiled and wearing stephane; lotus-tipped scepter behind head, large “k” in left field, rev. APΣINoHΣ ΦIΛAΔEΛΦoY, Filleted double cornucopiae, grape bunch hanging from each side. Svoronos 1498, Troxell pl. 67, 8, SNG Copenhagen 322. Good Extremely Fine and lustrous.
