Phillip Best Brewing Company (Wisconsin) 1873. Milwaukee. One share. Issued, not cancelled. No.34. Empire Brewery and Southside Brewery. Signed by Fred Pabst as President. This company eventually became Pabst Brewing Company. Jacob Best was among the first brewers in Milwaukee, establishing a plant in 1844. His son Phillip took control of the brewery by 1860 and eventually, he left it to his son-in-laws, Emil Schandein and Fred Pabst.
