North American Phonograph (New Jersey) 1888. Jersey City. 100 shares. Issued, not cancelled. No.19. Orange borders and underprint. Wax cylinder phonographs flank the central title. Signed by Jesse Lippincott as President. Lippincott purchased Edison's phonograph companies, envisioning a great need for phonographs as office dictation machines. Eventually Lippencott lost control of the company and it reverted to Edison. VF. Minor fold splits in the top and bottom margins.
