Higgins Wonder Oil Company (Texas) 1914. Houston. $10 Ninety-Nine Year Gold Bond. Issued, not cancelled. No.152. Lavender. Eagle and flag flanked by portraits of Pattillo Higgins, Sr. and Jr. The bond pays no interest, but "…shall participate in all dividends declared…" The back is as graphic as the front. EF. There are some minor stains on the back margins, but otherwise bright and vivid with tremendous eye appeal for a 20th century oil certificate. Only a few are known. This piece brought $2,100 in an Archives International sale in 2013.
