Point Arena Railroad Company (California) 1881. San Francisco office. 10 shares. Issued, not cancelled. No.1. On yellow paper. Panoramic view of Point Arena with a train on the pier that juts out into the cove. Cliffs and mountains. Certificate number one, issued to Irving M. Scott and signed by him as President. Point Arena is the smallest incorporated city in Northern California; it offers the only sheltered cove along the entire Mendocino Coast, and this allowed lumber schooners to load and unload alongside the pier. Unlisted in Cox, and perhaps unique. An extraordinary opportunity if you collect railroads, California, or marvelous graphics on stock certificates VF. Small ink stain in the upper right margin, mentioned only for the sake of accuracy.
