McCormick, Cyrus H. 1869. $60,000. Promissory note. Issued, cancelled. Ornate designs in the left end panel. Signed by Cyrus H. McCormick, who invented a successful reaping machine in 1834. He patented the machine, and along with his brothers, manufactured it. The McCormick reaping machine, introduced at the 1851 International Exhibition in London, was an immediate success. VF. Soiled along the right end, and there is a short fold split. Still quite presentable. From the Marty Weiner Collection.
