Extremely Fine, with the general overall appearance of an Almost Uncirculated example. This is the only 1882 $100 Brown Back reported on this bank. The note first appeared as Lot 3239 in Kagin's August 6th, 1986 auction where it sold for $1,430 (reported in the Track & Price census as a "20." Our example last appeared in the July 2007 Spink sale, Lot 265, described as Extremely Fine, where it realized $21,850. Rare and attractive. Bid accordingly.
