George V -- Royal Horse Guards ("the Blues") Saddlecloth and Bag. Elegantly embroidered, gold borders with red piping against black, gold G V R ciphers crowned by raised embroidered crowns in claret with green and red "jewels". Set in presentation cloth and leather holder with same pattern, manufacturer's name WHIPPY & Co. on leatherside. Pattern repeated on saddlecloth bag, which is displayed in a lovely brushed gold and lacquer frame. The saddlecloth and bag very well preserved, normal usage wear to the straps. Rare and attractive.
