Great Britain. World War I Trio to Corporal Fredrick George Farthing, Royal Field Artillery, along with uniform badges, personal papers, etc.. 1914-5 Star (6368 Cpl. F. Farthing, R.F.A.) and British War and Victory Medals (6368 Col. F. Farthing. R.A. The Victory Medal with single oak leave cluster; compressed fiber dog tags, RFA cap badge and shoulder title, large and small uniform button - all affixed to red display board. The medals and uniform devices AU-Uncirculated; With Farthing's original pay book, 2 b&w photos of 6368 Bombardier Farthing, Brigade Orders announcing Mention in Dispatches, orders, personal papers and WWI-era postcards from Salonika. Born in 1879, Frederick George Farthing joined the Royal Artillery in August 1914, serving in the 22nd Division in France during 1915. While restationed in England in 1916 he was reduced from corporal to bombardier. From Nov. 1916 on served in Macedonia with the British Salonika Force and promoted back to corporal. Mentioned in 1918 dispatches. (25)
