Haiti.. Seven-piece Gold and Silver Proof Set, 1981. Tenth Anniversary of the Presidency of Jean-Claude Duvalier. Includes: Gold 1000 Gourdes - 3 nude females with flag, 500 Gourdes (3 types) - Farmer and tractor, plants, harvesters; and Silver 100 Gourdes (3 types) - Mother and child, Infants on book, nude man and woman radiant sun. Obverses all depict the bust of "Baby Doc" Duvalier - who was ousted in a popular uprising in 1986, thus terminating his presidency for life - facing right. Extremely rare with only 10 sets reported minted, while the type coins were only available in the sets. In original black case. The gold with some obverse clouding. Brilliant Proof. (7-piece set)
