MHTPONOΛEΩC TAPCEΩN, Tyche of Tarsus seated left, holding palm frond, river-god Cydnus swimming below, c/m laureate head of Caracalla right, A-M-K below within oval punch. For type: Prieur 759, for c/m: Howgego 843, Prieur 777. The letters A-M-K in the c/m are an acronym for “The First, the Greatest, Most Beautiful” – epithets granted to the city of Tarsus upon Emperor Caracalla’s arrival there in 215. Very Rare.
