Signed by Richard Schell, New York merchant and politician. VF, staple holes.This company entered into a contract with government officials in Mexico to survey public lands. The Lower California Company was to receive one third of the lands they surveyed. Shares of the company were included in this deal which may or may not have been conducted in the most ethical manner.
