Seleukid Kings of Syria. Demetrios I Soter (162-150 BC). AR Tetradrachm, struck ca. 162-155/4 BC. Antioch. 16.72 gms. Diademed head right within laurel wreath, rev. BA?I?E?? ?HMHTPIOY ??THPO?, Tyche seated left, holdings scepter and cornucopiae, on throne supported by Tritonesses, monogram left field. Cf.SC 1638.1 (without "Soter"), cf. SMA 95. Somewhat bright. Very Fine.
