Kennedy, John Fitzgerald "Jack" (JFK). Thirty-fifth President of the United States (1961-1963), WWII torpedo boat commander, Representative and Senator of Massachusetts, president during some of the most pivotal moments of the 20th Century, youngest president to serve, first and only Catholic president, and only one to win the Pulitzer Prize; his assassination in Dallas, TX on Nov. 22, 1963 created a traumatic watershed in modern American history. Cover Signed "John F. Kennedy". On an envelope postmarked Feb. 20, 1962 addressed to the Freys of Bethlehem PA, bearing a Project Mercury stamp, JFK signs in black in at the upper left. The cover is accompanied by a letter from Kennedy's devoted personal secretary Evelyn Lincoln on White House stationery thanking Mrs. Frey for her "friendly letter to the President" and telling her that "he was happy to autograph the envelope" and sends "his very best wishes." The two are simply framed (with photo mounts) along with the White House mailing envelope that was sent to the Freys and a small black and white photo card of JFK likely done soon after his assassination. There are notations from Mr. or Mrs. Frey on the background paper, including one that says "Mercury Stamp Bought, Postmarked and Mailed Within One Hour 25 Min Of Marine Col. John Glenn's Triple Orbit Of Earth By And To Mrs. Leavitt F. Frey". Very light age toning, About Very Fine.
