New Zealand. 2 NZ Con Depot Canteen Chit for 1 Cent. (1943). Black ink on card, 54 x 35mm. Canteen Officer signature in red. These chits were for use at the convalescent depot in Kalavere, New Caledonia during WWII. The depot was established September 1943 on the former site of the 109 U.S. Station Hospital. Light diagonal crease bottom right corner, About Very Fine and Rare.
