Great Britain. George III (1760-1820). "Cartwheel" 2 Pence, 1797. Soho. Double struck legends. The doubled letters not shadowing but a step over from the first letters, thus the date reads "11779977". Laureate, draped bust r., rev. Britannia seated l.; legends incuse on raised rim. S.3776, KM 619. Contact marks typical of these large, thick pieces, with some obverse scratches and reverse pecks and digs. Fine-About Very Fine. An interesting and quite rare error.
