Large quarto, dark green cloth board covers, black board with green tips and gold-letter titled spine. Ex-libris "George W. Casilear." CA 1870s. 59 pages. Engravings by Lecomte; J. Horsburgh; C. W. Sharpe; R. Graves and others. Subjects include Fame; The Day-Dream; The Huntress; Sappho; The Woodman and others. Many semi-nude allegories. Many are large format engravings. For the most part pages are in very fine condition, but there is minor age toning on several examples.
