Stuyvesant Fish: A nice collection of certificates signed by Fish as President (and a few as stockholder) of the companies, comprising, Duleith & Dubuque Bridge Co., issued to the Illinois Central Railroad Co., 18[88]; New Orleans Belt Railroad Co., 18[85]; Cedar Falls and Minnesota Railroad Co., 189[5]; Yazoo and Mississippi Valley Railroad Co., issued to the ICRR, 18[96]; Dunleith & Dubuque Bridge Co., later issue, issued to the ICRR, 189[0]; Belleville and Southern Illinois Railroad Co., 18[97]; Omaha Bridge and Terminal Railway Co., [1905], and Peoria, Decatur and Mattoon Railroad Co., 190[5], all but the New Orleans with vignettes, various colours, most are hole or punch cancelled, GVF. Stuyvesant Fish (1851-1923), long serving president of the Illinois Central Railroad. He was ousted from power by Harriman in 1906 for misuse of funds.
