Staten Island Rail-Road Company (NY), $50 shares, 1864, No. 336, issued to and signed twice by Jacob Vanderbilt, once as President, and again on the transfer form on the back. train, steamship "Richmond" in left end panel, IC, VF+ detail, small hole in the upper right corner.

Jacob, who was "Commodore" Vanderbilt's brother, was put in charge of this diminutive Staten Island line. Perhaps the rarest of the Vanderbilt's signatures.
