Missouri, Kansas, and Texas Railway Company, $100 shares, 1881, No. B15759, issued to Jay Gould and signed by him on the back, green frame, cherubs in the corners, IC, Fine, trivial pinholes, with Gould's signature unaffected by the cancellations.

Daniel Drew, Jim Fisk, and Jay Gould were a trio of infamous Wall Street "Robber Barrons" who became embroiled in a vicious struggle with Cornelius Vanderbilt for control of the Erie Railroad. Stock prices were manipulated, and fortunes made and lost. Gould also was involved in an attempt to corner the gold market, but without success.
