Stevens as President, steamboat, canal barge, train, IU, VF+ details, a "shadow" reversed image across the center, as the result of being folded and left that way for decades.
Prominent New Jersey steamboat and railroad pioneer. In 1808 Stevens helped his father design and construct the Phoenix, the first ocean going steamboat. In 1831 he was the engineer aboard the John Bull, the first railroad locomotive to successful operate in New Jersey.
