Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railway Company, $5000 General Mortgage Gold Bond, 1899, No. B934, issued to Eastman Kodak and signed by George Eastman on the back, blue frame, man's portrait, IC, VF+.

George Eastman played a major role in bringing photography into the mainstream by founding Eastman Kodak Company, and popularizing the use of roll film. While most companies in the industry were focusing on camera manufacturing, Eastman instead turned his attention to providing affordable film to the public, and thus managed to turn his company's competitors into de facto business partners. Eastman was one of the most outstanding philanthropists of his time, having donated over $100 million to various social and academic organizations.
