Farmer ploughing with team of horses upper left, sailor standing by rail lower right. The Merchants Bank of PEI was absorbed by the Canadian Bank of Commerce in 1906. Only 5 notes of this type are known to exist, while only 21 issued 1 Dollar notes of any type or date from this bank are known to exist. Good-VG, tape remnant on side back, cashier's signature strong, president's faded, some thinning back center.
