Tropical Development Company, Profit-Sharing Gold Bond, $100, 1904, #2989, vignette of Orange grove at top, ornate border, green and black, gold seal depicting the Isle of Pines, together with a contract for profit-sharing bonds, 190[9], and a specimen$100 bond overprinted 'Form of Bond' which was supplied with the contract, all have same vignette, all green and black, the last has no seal and is not numbered (for obvious reasons) VF. (3)
The company planted orange and grapefruit trees on the Isle of Pines, Cuba. The island, to the South-west of mainland Cuba, was renamed in 1978, Isla de la Juventud .
