Auction: 318 - The Collector's Series
Lot: 2316
CSA. T-27. $10. 1861. Cr.221. PF-1. No.4264. Ab. Liberty, shield and eagle. VG-Fine details, CC. Small restored body hole, and a small piece of the upper left border, near the left corner, has been restored.
Printed on the same sheets as the Indian Princess notes, T-27 is the scarcest CSA type, with only fifty or so survivors known. The note described above is new to the census.
Uncancelled Fine T-27s bring upwards of $20,000. This example will fit well into any average grade type set of CSA notes, and can perhaps be obtained at a more reasonable level.
