RI. Greenville. Ch.1498. National Exchange Bank of Greenville. $5. 1875. Fr. 401. No.3240/X298589. Plate C. Fine, with one unobtrusive pinhole. There is a very faint bank stamp near the plate letter. Nice margins, vivid red color, and bold signatures all add eye appeal.

Eighteen large size notes are reported on this bank, and only one other 1875 $5 is mentioned in the census, ungraded. No other representatives of the 1875 Series have been seen to date. Acquired from William Donlon in 1961!
