On the inside cover, taped down is Kennedy's Senatorial business card; in blue ink on the card is the message "Thanks for making the trip to Hyannisport". Written while JFK was convalescing from several spinal operations, "Profiles in Courage" tells the stories of US Senators who risked their careers for their beliefs, from John Quincy Adams and Daniel Webster to Lucius Lamar and Robert Taft.
