Isaac II Angelus (1185-1195). Electrum Aspron Trachy. Constantinople. 3.57 gms. The Theotokos (Virgin Mary) enthroned facing, holding the Holy Infant on her lap, rev. Isaac, with short beard, standing facing, wearing loros, holding cross-tipped scepter and akakia, being crowned and blessed by the St. Michael the Archangel. DOC 2, S.2002. Minor discoloration obverse outer margin and a few test nicks reverse, well-struck for type, Good Very Fine.
