Judaica: Goldsmid, Sir Isaac Lyon, Esq., 1st Baronet (1778-1859). English financier and one of the leading figures in the Jewish emancipation in the United Kingdom. Goldsmid began business in a firm brokering bullion to the Bank of England and the East India Company; in 1841, he became the first Jewish baronet. Autograph Letter Signed "Isaac L. Goldsmid".
