Ionia, Herakleia ad Latmon (after 165 BC), AR Tetradachm, Stephanophoric type, 16.71gms, Athena head right wearing an ornate, crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos above earflap and five horses on the visor, rev. HPAKΛEΩTΩN above club, Nike standing left below flanked by two monograms, all within wreath (BMC 1var, SNG Lockett 2823, Pozzi 2452var, SNG v. Aulock 1978var), light deposits with slight corrosion in periphery, full types on somewhat tight flan, very fine.
