Beautiful Black Eagle TN. Memphis. Commercial Bank of Tennessee. $10. Jan. 1, 1863. (G-601) Full red underprint. Large black eagle and shield. A beautiful example of engraving and printing by the National Bank Note Company at their very best. These are occasionally seen as remainder notes, but a high grade, fully-issued example like this one is rarely encountered. Three inconsequential pin holes near the center, and a rounded corner, otherwise EF-AU. R-12.
