ND (1907-1920) "The" Northern 12 1/2 Cent Alaska Trade Token. Uncirculated Details, Scratched. Sew-15. Copper - 28mm/6.93gms. Obv: Aerial view of Seward; above "Native Copper From Seward, Alaska" Rev: Script - "Good For 12 1/2c In Trade". An attractive, well-made token that was produced for The Northern - a hotel, saloon, billiard hall, card room, etc. that was founded in 1907. A scarce and attractive token from this remote destination with attractive patina and hints of red color in the protected areas. Several small scratches are evident on the reverse that reveal copper color, but in actually serve only as minor distractions.
