Palestine, Ascalon, AR Tetradrachm, dated Year 41 in the local era (44 BC), 13.59gms, diademed Seleukid head right, rev. AKA(NITN IEPA AAYTO), eagle on prow left, palm frond over shoulder, date LMA and dove of Ascalon before, monogram between legs (BMC 18, Hendin 406), also: Judaea, Procurators, Pontius Pilate (26-36 AD), AE Prutah, 2.08gms, three grains of ear bound, rev. simpulum (Hendin 648, Meshorer 331), the first somewhat tight flan as is typical, dark gray, very fine and rare, the latter olive-green patina, fine/about very fine.
