A splendid example with huge to small margins (showing trace of adjacent stamp at right) tied by grille cancellation to an unusual hand printed envelope from Bouge Chambalud 28th May 1849 to Valence (Drome). The adhesive has been lifted from the envelope for inspection and re-affixed by a stamp mount. Commentaire: Le vermillon est un timbre rare en Isère. Seule pièce connue avec l'Origine Rurale dans ce département. The vermilion was very rarely used in this district and this cover is unique bearing the “Origine Rurale” (OR) marking of Isère.
