†1888 (9 Aug.) opened-out envelope addressed to Peking and redirected to Chefoo bearing 1887-88 5c. indigo pair tied by target cancellation and Logansport despatch c.d.s. and showing a good strike of "shanghai customs/mail matter" type 1 oval in bluish, a fine array of backstamps including Shanghai Agency type III dated oval in purple and "i.g. of customs/peking" type II c.d.s. in pale blue (in use for only sixteen months) plus Customs c.d.s. including Chefoo.
