†1887 (26 Oct.) envelope addressed to Peking bearing 1879 1c. and 1887-88 2c. green pair (faults) with target cancellations and Glenbury despatch c.d.s. alongside bearing, on the reverse, a superb strike of the rare "u.s.postal agency/tientsin" oval datestamp in violet dated 1887 (11 Dec.) with similar for Shanghai and San Francisco transit. It is thought that there are less than five covers bearing this mark, this being the earliest and only example on incoming mail Estimate £ 3,000-4,000
