NEWFOUNDLAND Airmails 1919 (April) The "Hawker" Attempt 1919 (12 Apr.) envelope "Per Aeroplane" to London, bearing 3c. brown neatly tied by St. John's machine d.s., the reverse bearing Found Open and Officially Secured label (torn through on opening) cancelled with London c.d.s. for 30 May on arrival. Rare and a most attractive example of this outstanding pioneer airmail flight. Also a few photographs associated with the flight. A. Diena (1976) and Holcombe (1992) Certificates. S.G. 142.
